Actor Garrett Hedlund was born September 3, 1984, in Roseau, MN, the youngest of Kristi and Robert Hedlund’s three children. He spent his childhood on a cattle farm near Wannaska, MN but moved with his mother to Scottsdale, AZ when he was 14 years old. Hedlund had already been bitten by the acting bug and was signed by a talent agency before he was even out of high school. Graduating in 2003, he immediately moved to Los Angeles, intent on starting an acting career. It didn’t take long -- he made his film debut in the Brad Pitt vehicle Troy less than a year later in 2004, and also appeared in Friday Night Lights that same year.
